How do I play Grape?

To view the "How to Play" guide, open Grape! and click the orange "How to Play" button on the top.

Grape! has five game elements: The grape, the target, the wall, the destructible wall, and the bomb. (See pictures of these game elements in the "How to Play" guide.) The main idea is that you swipe Grape around the board to get him to the yellow star-shaped target. You can swipe Grape up, down, left, or right.

Grape! has a few quirks that make the game even more fun. Grape always moves as far as he can in the direction you swipe. You can't swipe a shorter distance to make him go a shorter distance! He goes the same distance each time; he only stops when he hits a wall, the edge of the board, or the target.

Pay attention to the number of moves you have left — if you run out, you'll have to restart the level!

Destructible walls, which disappear when Grape bumps into them, have their own quirk: They can only be destroyed if there is at least one square between Grape and the wall he wants to destroy.

I can't solve a level!

Grape! levels can be tricky, but don't give up — every level has a solution! Before every Grape! update is published, a computer solves each level individually to make sure it is possible to win all of the levels.

If you're stuck on a level, you can always skip it and come back to it later. You don't have to solve Grape! levels in order. Or you could ask a friend to help you out. If a level is really puzzling you, shoot me an email to the email address above and I'll give you the solution.

I'm having trouble unlocking a season.

To unlock a season, you watch a brief ad — this is to help me make money off of Grape!. If you're having trouble unlocking the season, make sure your device is connected to the internet, then try waiting 5–10 seconds and trying again. If you're still having trouble, please contact me.
